SADZA WITH CHICKEN AND VEGETABLES

INGREDIENTS

2 litres water
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
½ cup milk
2 cups maize meal
BREAKFAST PORRIDGE

SPRINKLE maize meal into water, brake down all the lumps and keep stirring over medium heat.
ALLOW porridge to simmer while stirring for 3-4 minutes.
ADD butter, salt, sugar and milk to porridge and mix to combine.
POUR onto plate. (it be a little runny but it will set as it cools)
FOR SAVOURY MEAL simply add the below ingredient to the completed process (above)

1 cup maize meal
2 white onions, chopped
1 bunch spinach, chopped finely
500 gms chicken thigh fillet, diced
chilli’s, optional
4 whole tomatoes, diced
Vegetable oil
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
ADD maize meal into (already prepared)porridge to thicken it and it should look more look like mashed potato, leave it to cook for 3-4 minutes while stirring and then set aside while you prepare the chicken.
ADD oil to frypan and heat up before adding onions and cooking until translucent.
Add chicken and season with salt
ADD spinach, chilli’s (optional) and tomatoes, stir in and allow to simmer until chicken is cooked through. Taste to check on seasoning
NOW its time !!!
PLACE next to the sadza/porridge and enjoy with the family
