MEZZE PLATE

INGREDIENTS FOR MEZZE PLATE

carrots 

haloumi

loukaniko

kasseri cheese 

sardines

olives 

pickled green peppers

tomatoes 

rusks 

tzatziki 

 

INGREDIENTS FOR TZATZIKI 

1 kg Greek Style Yoghurt

2 continental cucumbers, seeds removed, peeled & grated & squezzed/strained

2 tablespoons olive oil

2-3 large garlic cloves, cleaned & minced

2 tablespoons white vinegar or lemon juice 

Salt & pepper to taste

Mint or dill (optional)

DRAIN yoghurt in a chux cloth/cheese cloth for approximately 2 hours or overnight

PLACE yoghurt and all other all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

Allow to sit in refrigerator until required for service.

 

TO PREPARE THE MEZZE PLATE 


SHALLOW fry haloumi until golden brown and remove. In the same pan cook the loukaniko.

CUT carrots, tomato (season tomatoes with salt and olive oil) and kasseri cheese. 

PLACE ingredients on platter and style to your liking.
