MERMIZELI SALATA 

Traditional Kalymnian Greek salad

INGREDIENTS FOR SALAD 

 

5 ripe tomatoes, cut into wedges

½ red onion, cut fine

2 continental cucumbers, cut for salad

¼ watermelon, cut into medium size pieces 

200gms feta

2 cups rusks 

2 tablespoons capers

½ cup Kalamata olives

 

DRESSING

​

1 cup olive oil

Salt, to taste 

Oregano, to taste

 

METHOD 

 

COMBINE all ingredients of salad, add oil, salt and oregano and mix well. Place feta on top and sprinkle with oregano.

ADD rusks last minutes to keep them crunchy.
